Skype

Would you like to learn Dutch in exchange for teaching your native language? Are you a native Dutch speaker and are you looking for someone who can help you with studying English? Or Russian? Japanese? Post it here!

Skype

Postby DCRPA » February 13th, 2008, 11:10 pm

Hallo iedereen!
Is there a site/list of people who use Skype?
Mooitexel introduced me to this today! I think it is a
wonderful way to practice speaking and listening to Dutch for
the non-native Nederlanders!
If there is a list of users and names, would you please tell me where to look?
If not, maybe we could start one?
Thanks!
Denise

Hi DCRPA,

Sorry for not responding to your question before! I only read it after Sintee's new post in this thread. There is no list of Skype users yet, but I will add it to the to-do list. Due to a lack of time, I only work on several to-do items every once in while (about twice a year :o ), but when I do, I generally complete many tasks at once. It should not be too hard to add a column for Skype addresses to the members list (although I have been struggling with a misbehaving member list before).

Sintee: If I were you, I would not mention my e-mail address in a post. Anyone can see it, including non-members and 'spiders' collecting e-mail addresses to send spam to. I replaced the "@"-sign in your e-mail address with " AT " so that spiders will not be able to recognize it as an e-mail address.

if you already have a skype account already you can search for online users by countries. Just go to Contacts and then click Search for skype users.A window will pop out and you will specify what languages of the person you would like to make friends with and what country are they then you click Find. Results will then be shown on the lower part and you can then click the names or chat with the persons shown in the result.

I hope this help! :-)

Hi!
This is my email : lyna.gg AT hotmail.com
I'm from Colombia, and i've been learning dutch since May.
I can speak spanish, english, a bit of dutch and I was learning russian, so I understand a couple things too ;)

Edit by Quetzal: Replace the "AT" by @ to get the email-address. Putting email addresses online like this will get you tons of spam, so it's best to avoid it.

Hello
I am on skype :D

I have skype lessons with a lovely dutch lady from http://www.sayitindutch.com
You have to pay for these lessons but Yorien is fantastic. Contact her if you want to learn real Dutch by skype she is so patient and I have learnt so much from her.

If anyone wants to practice basic Dutch I am willing to help but I am not so advanced yet and I am English so my prouncation is not the same as a Dutch person lol :D . I have been learning Dutch for 3 years and am at GCSE level. If you are interested private message me as like Bieneke and Quetzal have said its not a good idea to put your email address in the forum.

Groetjes
